AT least six people have been injured with one in critical condition after a car ploughed into a crowd on a sidewalk in Berlin.
German cops said the motor, understood to be a cab, suddenly went out of control before hitting a building wall and injuring several people.
One person was trapped under the car and is now being treated for life-threatening injuries, the cops added.
Berlin Fire Department’s control center said that they triggered the “mass casualty incident” alarm to get sufficient resources at the scene.
A rescue helicopter was deployed at the scene, along with 60 firefighters and 22 large vehicles.
It is understood that authorities are at the scene, and an investigation is now underway.
