First cargo flight from China arrives in Islamabad

The inaugural cargo flight from Urumqi, China, arrived at Islamabad International Airport, establishing a new trade corridor between the two nations.

Transporting over 25 tonnes of goods, the flight aims to enhance cargo movement between China and Pakistan. Operated by SF Cargo, the Boeing aircraft landed with 22,775 kilograms of cargo and was warmly welcomed by Chief Operating Officer and Airport Manager Aftab Gilani.

Speaking on the occasion, Gilani stated that two cargo flights will operate weekly, with plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week in the near future.

This new cargo service is expected to strengthen trade relations by enabling faster and more efficient exports for Pakistan. A PIA spokesperson also confirmed that the cargo network will soon expand, further bolstering commercial ties between the two countries.
