Five years old boy killed in tanker accident in Karachi
A tragic accident took place in the Baldia Town area of Karachi, where a speeding water tanker crushed a five-year-old boy named Affan to death. The incident happened in Abidabad while Affan was playing on the ground.
According to police, the tanker was parked at the time, and the driver was not present. Instead, the cleaner tried to operate the vehicle and lost control, which led to the fatal accident. Authorities are investigating the case and have started a search for the driver.
So far in 2025, traffic accidents in Karachi have claimed the lives of 264 people, including 37 children.
Just a few days earlier, on April 8, another tragic accident occurred on Mauripur Road in Karachi. A trailer struck and killed an eight-year-old beggar boy named Raheel as he was crossing the road with his sister. Thankfully, his sister was not hurt. In that case, police arrested the trailer driver at the scene and took the vehicle into custody.
