Flight operations at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport have been fully restored, according to a statement issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) on Thursday.
The PAA confirmed that the airport is once again operational and serving both domestic and international flights. “Flight operations at Karachi airport have resumed with immediate effect,” the authority stated.
Earlier in the evening, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) had been issued by the PAA, announcing a temporary suspension of operations at the airport until midnight. The reason for the suspension was not officially disclosed.
The statement further clarified that flight operations at all other major airports across Pakistan remain unaffected and continue as scheduled.
Passengers have been advised to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest updates on their flight status. The PAA urged travelers to ensure timely coordination in order to avoid any inconvenience.
The brief suspension had caused temporary disruptions, but normal air traffic is now proceeding without hindrance.
