Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a fresh record high on Tuesday, mirroring the rise in international rates. The price of gold per tola climbed by Rs2,550, reaching Rs317,350.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs272,076, marking an increase of Rs2,186.
This follows Monday’s record-setting rise of Rs1,100, which pushed the price of gold per tola to Rs314,800.
Meanwhile, the APGJSA noted that the international gold rate also saw an increase, reaching $3,022 per ounce (with a premium of $20), up by $25 during the day.
In addition, silver prices rose by Rs25, settling at Rs3,555 per tola.
