Historic Mukhi Mahal fixes ticketing

HYDERABAD:

In order to catch more attention for the iconic Mukhi House Museum, management has fixed the entry ticket.

The Mukhi House or Mukhi Mahal is a historic mansion dating back to 1921. It was built by a prominent figure of the Mukhi family, serving as their residence for 26 years. After the partition of India, the Mukhi family migrated, and the house experienced changes, including periods of abandonment and later, its use as a government school.

In 2008, the Mukhi family relinquished future claims to the property under the condition that it be preserved and converted into a museum.

Conservation efforts began in 2009, with the museum opening its doors to the public in 2014.

The incharge of the museum stated that it houses a rich collection of artifacts, furniture, and photographs, offering a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the Mukhi family, and the cultural heritage of the region.

The museum is open for visitors from Thursday to Tuesday, 10am to 5pm, with a ticket priced at Rs50 only. Guided tours are also available for those seeking a more in-depth experience.
