Huge fire erupts at electrical station with families evacuated from homes and huge cordon in place – The Sun

A HUGE fire has erupted at an electrical station, with families evacuated from their homes and a huge cordon put in place.

The blaze broke out just after 11pm on Thursday evening in west London.

Around 20 people have now been evacuated from their houses, as ten fire engines and 70 firefighters tackle the inferno, according to the London Fire Brigade.

A 100-metre cordon has also been put in place around the area, with locals warned: “Please avoid the area”.

The cause of the fire not yet known.

The brigade added that it had so far received 180 calls in relation to the fire.

Crews from the surrounding areas of Hayes, Heathrow, Hillingdon, Southall and surrounding fire stations have all been mobilised to the scene.
