A MECHANIC suffered a haircut nightmare after his hairdresser girlfriend’s DIY blunder.
Ross Forrest didn’t have time to go to the barbers so asked his partner, Chloe Hutchinson, to use beard clippers to give him a trim instead.

But Chloe – a part-time hairdresser – said her heart dropped when she shaved off the first patch of hair and realised she’d forgotten to put the guard on the razor.
Chloe, 28, says she tried to save the day by giving Ross a skin fade but he ended up looking like a mushroom so she was forced to shave it off completely.
“My heart dropped when I realised what I’d done,” Chloe, from Edinburgh, said.
“I’m a hairdresser, not a barber. It’s completely different, there are different techniques and tools, but he was adamant and I gave in.
“I started at the back and I just said ‘Oh my God, I’ve forgotten to put the guard on’. It was down to the skin.
“He said it would be fine and I could do a skin fade, but I’ve never done a skin fade before so it turned into a bowl cut.
She added: “Then, he ended up looking like a mushroom. It was a disaster. It looked really bad.
“He washed it and tried to make it look alright, but he couldn’t walk around like that.
“He’s got a good sense of humour, so I knew he wouldn’t be angry and it wasn’t too deep.
“We had to shave it off. He took it really well, better than I would.”
Chloe – whose main job is as a catering assistant – said when she couldn’t find any hair clippers to cut Ross’s hair, she reached for the beard trimmers.
Ross, 29, said: “I didn’t have time to go to the barbers, so I asked Chloe to cut my hair, but she said no to begin with.
“We didn’t have clippers but used a beard trimmer she forgot to put the guard on. I said it was fine and we can sort it but she definitely couldn’t sort it.
“I thought it just looked funny. I’m not too much of a serious person but I obviously wouldn’t have walked around like that.

“I wasn’t too bothered about going bald because I’ve been bald before but it’s not my first choice of haircut.
“I most definitely won’t be trusting Chloe to cut my hair again.
“I’ve learned to make time for the barbers.”
Some pals argued that Ross looks better with a skinhead as they defended the hair mishap.
Others suggested that Chloe made such a mess of the haircut so that Ross wouldn’t ask her to do it again.
One said: “Hear me out, I think you did it on purpose so you don’t have to do it again.”
Another added: “You’ve done my man a solid. He looks immaculate with the buzz cut. It suits him.”
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “To be fair, he can pull off the bald look.”
