ISLAMABAD:
Former PM Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi have decided to file a petition seeking suspension of their sentences in the £190m case. The petition is likely to be filed this week in the IHC.
In the petition, the PTI founder and his wife have requested the suspension of the January 17 verdict of Islamabad Accountability Court-I and their release on bail until the final decision on the main appeal. They have assured the court that they will be present at every hearing.
Barrister Salman Safdar has prepared the petitions.
Imran and Bushra have already filed appeals in the IHC, requesting that the accountability court’s sentence be annulled.
