‘It’s so unfair’ – Emma Raducanu ‘enraging’ Wimbledon members by breaking long-standing All England Club rule

EMMA RADUCANU has reportedly “enraged” Wimbledon members by breaking a club rule.

The tennis star, 22, often uses the All England Club to train when back home in London.

But Raducanu is said to have annoyed her fellow members by breaking the iconic all-white dress code order.

Players are not allowed to step foot on court in anything other than white clothing in a rule which has been in place for 150 years.

Yet the Daily Mail claim the 2021 US Open winner has been wearing a pink outfit during recent training sessions at Wimbledon.

A member told The Mail: “It’s so unfair. Emma rocks up in a pink outfit while everyone else respects the all-white rule. Who does she think she is?

“Just because she’s won the US Open doesn’t mean she can wear whatever she wants.”

Wimbledon rules state that players must wear “suitable tennis attire that is almost entirely white” and that “white does not include off white or cream”.

It continues: “There should be no solid mass or panel of colouring.

“A single trim is acceptable, but must be no wider than one centimetre.”

Roger Federer previously caused controversy at SW19 in 2013, breaking the rules with orange-soled trainers before being made to change.

Novak Djokovic had to get special permission to wear a grey knee brace last year and Nick Kygrios revealed he was fined £12,000 for changing into a red hat and shoes when still on the court post-match in 2022.

Her alleged rule breaking comes amid Raducanu being targeted by a man that displayed “fixated behaviour” at the Dubai Open.

The individual has been hit with a restraining order and the Brit’s security was increased at the Indian Wells tournament this week, where she lost in the first round to Moyuka Uchijima.
