I’ve lost 3 stone on Mounjaro but STILL eat chippy teas – folk say I ‘look fantastic’ & ‘can’t believe how much I eat’

A WOMAN has revealed how she has lost 3 stone on weight loss jabs despite still eating takeaways.

Liz, from the UK, took to social media to share a typical day of eating while on the injections.

She revealed she started the day with a cup of coffee before heading to her home gym to complete a workout.

After, she had one slice of toast with butter before treating herself to a takeaway in the evening.

Liz said: “I’m aware this is not nutritious at all but I was still in a calorie deficit.

“Believe it or not, I didn’t eat this full portion.”

She went on to show her plate which included chips, curry sauce, a slice of bread and a piece of fish.

Liz estimated that the dinner came to around 991 calories and her daily total was 1,304.

“This is like one of my favourite meals,” she added.

“Not had a Takeaway in ages, so I enjoyed it.”

Despite enjoying the occasional takeaway, Liz has gone on to lose 3 stone with the help of the weight loss drug.

In another clip, she revealed what she looked like before taking it, compared to now.

“What -39lbs weight loss looks like in my face,” she captioned the post as she showed off her progress.

It was clear Liz had lost lots of weight in her face as she beamed at the camera.

Liz isn’t the only one to be using the drug, around half a million Brits use weight loss drugs – and the number is expected to double in the next year.

Mounjaro works by suppressing your appetite, making people feel fuller for longer.

What to do if you lose too much weight too quickly whilst on Mounjaro

IF you’re losing too much weight too quickly while on Mounjaro, it’s important to take action to avoid potential health risks like muscle loss, malnutrition, dehydration, and fatigue. Here’s what you can do:

Evaluate Your Caloric Intake

Mounjaro reduces appetite, which can make it easy to eat too little. If you’re losing weight too fast (more than two to three lbs per week after the initial adjustment period), try:

  • Tracking your food intake to ensure you’re eating enough calories (apps like MyFitnessPal can help).
  • Increasing protein intake to preserve muscle mass (aim for 0.6–1g per pound of body weight).
  • Adding healthy fats and complex carbs (e.g., avocados, nuts, whole grains) for balanced energy.

Adjust Your Dosage (With Doctor’s Approval)

If your weight loss is too rapid or causing side effects, your doctor may:

  • Pause dose increases or lower your dosage.
  • Adjust your treatment plan to stabilise your weight loss.

Strength Training & Exercise

To prevent muscle loss:

  • Incorporate resistance training at least two to three times per week.
  • Stay active with low-impact exercises like walking or yoga.

Hydrate & Manage Electrolytes

  • Drink enough water (Mounjaro can reduce thirst).
  • Electrolytes matter – Consider adding magnesium, sodium, and potassium if you feel weak or fatigued.

Monitor for Malnutrition & Deficiencies

Rapid weight loss can cause vitamin/mineral deficiencies (especially B12, iron, and electrolytes). If you experience:

  • Fatigue, hair loss, or dizziness, ask your doctor about supplements.

Consider Further Medical Guidance

If your weight loss is excessive or causing health concerns, speak with your healthcare provider.

They might adjust your dosage, diet, or exercise plan to help stabilise your weight loss.

The injections are licensed for patients with type 2 diabetes and to assist those who are clinically obese (with a Body Mass Index of 30 or over).

One jab is administered each week, but the duration depends on someone’s weight.

The drugs can be lawfully supplied when prescribed by a practitioner, such as a doctor, nurse or a pharmacist-independent prescriber.

Liz has gone on to share her weight loss journey through her TikTok account @fitwithliz.

People were quick to congratulate her on her progress in the comments section of the post, while others were surprised Liz was still able to eat, considering the drug works by suppressing your appetite.

One person wrote: “Looking amazing… well done.”

Another commented: “You were gorgeous before too though!”

“Looking good,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I can’t believe how much you eat, you look fantastic.”

“Nothing wrong with a takeaway, although my stomach couldn’t handle it,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I’ve had a KFC for tea! Lost my 4 stone now on maintenance! Nothing wrong with a treat.2

“Exactly if you’re in a deficit, you’ll still lose weight,” replied Liz.
