- Former Pakistan Cricket Team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed guest discusses religious devotion.
- Fans question Ahmed’s English language proficiency, questioning if it’s more challenging than the match.
- Saud defends English proficiency as a sign of pride and urges respect for Urdu.
Javeria Saud is hosting a Ramadan transmission this year, where she invites prominent personalities from music, acting, and sports. Former Pakistan Cricket Team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed appeared as a guest on her show and discussed his religious devotion, experiences of being sidelined from sports, and handling criticism.
During the live show, a fan called in and questioned Sarfaraz Ahmed about his command of the English language. He mentioned noticing how the cricketer appears flustered when speaking in English and asked if he finds it more challenging than the match itself.
Javeria Saud took on the question and said that “she has never seen people from other countries shame others about not speaking English. They take pride in their language. Thus, speaking in English is not a sign of superiority or excellence. We should take pride in speaking Urdu, which we do not speak fluently either. She also advised people to respect their heroes.”
