Justin Bieber’s representatives have shut down claims that the singer is currently at the centre of financial hardship.
Earlier this week, The Hollywood Reporter published a wide-ranging piece (titled “Justin Bieber’s Crisis Of Faith?”), speculating about recent changes in Justin’s professional and private life, which features some on-the-record quotes from his former friends and collaborators, as well as anonymous “sources”.
Among the claims made in the piece is the suggestion that the Canadian star was left owing a debt of more than $20 million (around £15.1 million) when he cancelled the remaining dates of his Justice world tour in 2023.
Justin’s rep has now told People: “This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed – and clearly ill-informed – ‘sources’, disappointed that they no longer work with Justin.
“As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But, they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
The Hollywood Reporter’s piece also features a quote from Justin’s team, which reads: “Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.”

Justin has undergone several notable changes in the past year, including becoming a father to his eight-month-old son Jack, parting ways with his long-term manager Scooter Braun and severing ties with the fashion label Drew (a moniker which is derived from the Baby singer’s middle name).
The Hollywood Reporter noted that Justin is currently planning to launch a new brand, Skylrk, announcing the venture with a CGI video which depicted him riding an electric scooter to the site of a house filled with Drew memorabilia, which he then burns down.
At the end of the video, he and a rendering of his wife, Hailey Bieber, kiss in front of the burning house, before walking off hand-in-hand while pushing a stroller.
Back in February, Justin’s team denied allegations that he had relapsed and begun drugs again, amid reports of “concern” from his fans after several public appearances.
Since then, the Grammy winner has opened up about some of the pressures of fame and success he’s faced in his career in a candid Instagram post.
