Coldplay and TWICE have teamed up for a powerful new remix of We Pray, first released on Coldplay’s 2024 album Moon Music.
The updated version, which also features Chilean-Palestinian artist Elyanna, was released to streaming platforms on Thursday 17 April and debuted live the night before at Coldplay’s concert in Goyang-si, South Korea.
The show is part of the Asian leg of their Music Of The Spheres world tour, with TWICE serving as the opening act.
During the emotional live performance, all nine members of TWICE joined Chris Martin and his band onstage, performing a heartfelt second verse sung in Korean.
Translated to English, the lyrics include: “Even if not a single thread of light falls down in the darkness… Will we disappear or last forever? So we just pray.”
This is not Coldplay’s first collaboration with K-pop superstars.
In 2021, they worked with BTS on the global hit My Universe, also featured on Music Of The Spheres.
Martin has previously credited his goddaughter for introducing him to K-pop, praising the genre’s passion and creativity.
NME awarded Moon Music four stars, describing it as a record of “resilience” and one of the band’s final albums.
Coldplay continue their tour across Asia, while TWICE have confirmed their own world tour will follow shortly after their run with the British band.
