A man has admitted to the attempted murder of a child in Ceredigion, West Wales.
Rhydian Jamieson, 28, pleaded guilty to harming the child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday.
After Jamieson was remanded into custody, Judge Paul Thomas KC said he would “deal with [the defendant] on 27 May”.
Jamieson, from Cwm Cou, Newcastle Emlyn, was represented by John Hipkin KC, while Caroline Rees KC appeared for the prosecution.
Dyfed-Powys Police were called to an address in Y Ferwig, Ceredigion, shortly before 10.15pm on 15 January.
The force had received reports concerning the welfare of a child.
The infant was immediately taken to hospital after police attended.
