Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have reached Washington to attend the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

To attend the oath-taking ceremony of Trump, Mohsin Naqvi will be the only government official from Pakistan.

Donald Trump is set to take oath as the 47th US president amid hopes and challenges.

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration will be held inside the US Capitol today, Monday, due to extreme cold weather. This marks the first time in 40 years that the presidential inauguration ceremony has been moved indoors.

The event is scheduled to take place at noon ET (1700 GMT), with several prominent figures, including four living US presidents, expected to attend.

Trump secured a second term by defeating Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, after first becoming president in 2017 with his iconic slogan “Make America Great Again.”

The 78-year-old billionaire, real estate magnate, and former Hollywood star is the fourth child of Fred Trump, a prominent property tycoon from New York. Born in Queens, New York, on June 14, 1946, Trump was sent to the New York Military Academy at age 13 to complete his early education.
