New Zealand’s strong home stand against Pakistan has led to their stars continuing to climb up in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings.
The Black Caps enjoy a 3-1 lead over the tourists ahead of the final match on Wednesday, with matches three and four counting towards the latest update.
Jacob Duffy continued his incredible rise, jumping another seven places and into fifth spot in the T20I Bowling Rankings (694 rating points) after a 23-spot jump the previous week.
Duffy had already attained a new career-high rating after taking six wickets from the opening two matches of the series, claiming a further five wickets in the subsequent two games.
For the tourists, it was Haris Rauf who enjoyed an 11-spot jump to 15th (632 rating points) following figures of 3/27 (4) and 3/29 (4) in the previous two games. Fellow pacer Abbas Afridi (up eight spots to 36th) was another notable mover.
Australia’s Travis Head remains at the top of the T20I rankings for batters, ahead of Abhishek Sharma of India and Phil Salt from England, with this week’s changes in the Batting rankings coming further down the list.
Kiwi Mark Chapman was the biggest mover with the bat, jumping 10 spots to 41st (547), thundering with a 44-ball 94 on top of a quick-fire 24.
Michael Bracewell was the big winner in the All-Rounder rankings, climbing 12 spots to 14th (141) following scores of 46* from 26 balls and 31 from 18 balls against Pakistan.
There were also some changes in the latest T20I rankings following a recent series between Namibia and Canada, following their League 2 leg at the new FNB Cricket Ground in Windhoek.
Gerhard Erasmus kept his spot in the top ten from the All-Rounder rankings (164), while teammate Niko Davin climbed 27 spots (68th) in the batting rankings (450 rating points), thanks to an unbeaten fifty in the final match to secure a 3-0 series win.
