Pakistan Army shoots down Indian quadcopter over LOC violation

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army shot down an Indian spying quadcopter that intruded into the country’s airspace along the Line of Conterol (LoC).

Security sources said the enemy attempted to spy in Manawar sector in Bhibmer area of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir when it was taken down in a timely action.

The action clearly reflects the Pakistan Army’s vigilance, professional expertise, and state of preparedness.

The Pakistan Army is always ready to respond swiftly and effectively to any aggression by the enemy.

Security sources added that the entire nation stood by the Pakistan Armed Forces to confront the enemy on every front.

This action comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, where 26 tourists and a local Kashmiri were killed in cold blood.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while condemning the unfortunate attack in Pahalgam, has offered to participate in any neutral, transparent and credible investigation into the incident.

Pakistan has castigated India for exploiting the Pahalgam attack, which claimed lives of 26 tourists, to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty for domestic political gains, warning that New Delhi is attempting to “unleash a hydro war” without any evidence or investigation.

New Delhi has linked Islamabad to the attack without offering any evidence and took a flurry of punitive measures to downgrade ties including suspending Indus Waters Treaty, revoking visas of Pakistanis, closing Wagah-Attari border crossing among others.
