Pedro Pascal used his appearance at the premiere of Marvel’s new movie to send a message of solidarity to the trans community.
The Last Of Us star – who recently joined the MCU as the new lead in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie – walked the red carpet at the Thunderbolts* premiere in London on Tuesday night.
As he posed for photographers at the event, Pedro sported a white t-shirt emblazoned with the message “protect the dolls”, a slogan expressing support for women in the trans community.
Pedro – who has a transgender sister – has long been a vocal supporter of the trans community.
Back in February, he shared a message on Instagram which read: “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.”
He added in the comments: “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorising the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”
It’s worth noting that Pedro made his latest display of solidarity with trans people in London less than a week after the Supreme Court ruled that the legal definition of a woman in the UK now only covers those assigned female at birth.
