PM Shehbaz Sharif reaches Belarus on official visit
Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif reached the Republic of Belarus on a two-day official visit from April 10 to 11, 2025, at the invitation of President Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Belarus Prime Minister Alexander Turchin and officials of Pakistan embassy in Belarus warmly welcomed the prime minister.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is visiting Belarus along with a top-level team that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, he will meet with President Lukashenko to talk about the progress made in different areas both countries are interested in. They are also expected to sign a few agreements to improve their cooperation even more. This visit shows that Pakistan and Belarus continue to have a strong and growing relationship.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko had also visited Pakistan last year as the two sides signed an agreement to develop a comprehensive roadmap aimed at enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including agriculture, mining and minerals, information technology, and heavy machinery manufacturing.
