A Rangers star is at the centre of a police probe over his antics during his team’s winning goal celebrations against Celtic on Sunday.
Vaclav Cerny, 27, was spotted spraying rival fans with a water bottle as he raced along the touchline in excitement over teammate Hamza Igamane’s last-gasp winner.
Sky Sports captured the incident as the cameras panned to Barry Ferguson to get the reaction of Rangers’ interim manager.
The actions of Czech winger Cerny – who is on loan from German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg – sparked a furious reaction from the Hoops supporters, with police and security forced to step in to defuse the situation.
Police Scotland has now confirmed it is looking into the incident.
A force spokesperson said: “Officers received information and enquiries are ongoing.”
Rangers have been contacted for comment.

The Old Firm game at Celtic Park in Glasgow ended in heartbreak for the home team.
Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande put the visitors 2-0 up ahead of half-time before Celtic’s Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate levelled the match.
Igamane’s stunning strike after 88 minutes settled the clash, but Rangers remain 13 points behind Brendan Rodgers’ men in the Scottish Premiership title race.
