Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, currently promoting his upcoming film Sikandar, has addressed ongoing discussions regarding his collaborations with younger actresses, particularly in relation to age differences.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Salman expressed his desire to work with new talents like Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor, but noted that public perception often complicates such decisions.

“If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people have made it difficult for me because then they talk about the age gap,” he said.

Despite the challenges, Salman emphasized his commitment to working with younger stars, viewing these collaborations as an opportunity to help them. “I work with them thinking it’s giving them a good opportunity, and even then, I will continue to work with them,” he added.

The Tiger 3 actor also touched on the diminishing number of multi-starrer films in Bollywood, attributing the issue to the insecurity of today’s actors.

“I had once suggested a filmmaker make something with an ensemble cast, but all the actors of the current generation refused to work with each other,” he revealed.

Salman reflected on his own era, contrasting it with today’s climate: “Actors have become very insecure. We were comfortable doing multi-cast films because, for us, it was about bringing all our fans together to make the film a hit. We spent 100-200 days working together and eventually became friends.”

Regarding his upcoming film Sikandar, where he shares screen space with Rashmika Mandanna, Salman was asked about their 31-year age gap. Without hesitation, he responded, “If the actress has no issue, then others shouldn’t either.”
