A DIY enthusiast has revealed that she gave her old, horrible bathroom the ultimate makeover, whilst staying on a budget.
So if you want to give your home a refresh, but are strapped for cash and are looking to do it on the cheap, then you’ve come to the right place.
Melissa Walker, a DIY fan from the UK, shared that thanks to cheap buys from Amazon, B&M and B&Q, she was able to turn her bathroom from drab to fab.
What was once a very dated, dark and dull space, has since been given a total freshen up and Melissa’s bathroom is now incredibly bright, chic and oozes style and personality.
Not only does it look luxurious, but it also resembles a room you’d expect to find in a posh interiors magazine.
Thrilled with her bathroom’s overhaul, Melissa took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Melissa posted snaps of her bathroom before she and her husband gave it an overhaul, alongside pictures of the finished space.
Alongside the post, Melissa wrote: “My husband and I have spent weeks working our butts off to make my dream bathroom a reality, and I’m so in love with the finished result!
“We both dug in to remove the old tiles and horrible textured walls.
“My husband did all the plumbing, electrics and plastering, and I helped re-tile, grout and paint.
“We did it all on a budget, shopping around for the best for our money.
“We were lucky to find the sideboard that we’re using for the sinks for free on Facebay.
“I sanded and oiled it and painted the accents gold.”
Now, Melissa’s bathroom is one-of-a-kind, with jaw-dropping flooring, bright green tiles and gorgeous gold details.
Melissa, who previously gave another bathroom in her home an upgrade, also opened up to Fabulous about this jaw-dropping bathroom makeover, and claimed that it cost her just over £2,000.
