Shein has sharply increased US prices on hundreds of products as the Chinese fast-fashion giant braces for new tariffs targeting imports from China and Hong Kong.
According to Bloomberg data, the average price for Shein’s top 100 beauty and health products rose by 51% between Thursday and Friday.
Home and kitchen categories saw average price hikes of 34%, while toys jumped by 33%. A 10-piece kitchen towel set surged by 377%.
Women’s clothing prices increased by 8% over the same period.
The changes come as the United States moves to end the de minimis tariff exemption for imported goods valued under $800.
The new measures, expected to take effect in May and June, will impose tariffs as high as 120% on many products and sharply increase postal fees.
Shein had previously urged suppliers to shift manufacturing outside China, including to Vietnam, to cushion the impact.
However, US consumers are already seeing prices climb, even as overall inflation remains low.
Bloomberg’s analysis showed Shein’s US prices rose about 10% overall from April 24 to April 26, while UK prices remained largely unchanged.
The tariff changes are part of a broader strategy by the Trump administration to curb Chinese imports and promote domestic manufacturing.
