Social media ripped into members of Donald Trump’s cabinet as they fawned over the president and his first 100 days back at the White House, with the TV cameras rolling for all to see.
Billionaire presidential aide Elon Musk, who may not be around for much longer, offered one of the more bombastic tributes on Wednesday.
“I think this could be the greatest administration since the founding of the country,” he said, highlighting “secure borders” and “sensible spending” for praise.
But it was Attorney General Pam Bondi who was singled out for going further in her enthusiasm than most of her cabinet colleagues.
She said, “Mr. President, your first 100 days has far exceeded that of any other presidency in this country. Ever. Ever. Never seen anything like it. Thank you.”
She also told the television audience that Trump deserved credit for a fentanyl crackdown that has saved “258 million lives,” which is roughly 75% of America.
After discussing other apparent successes, Bondi said “we’re doing everything to keep America safe at your direction. Thank you, Mr. President.”
But the sycophancy and North Korea energy was too much for many on social media, with even conservative pundit Ann Coulter slamming the “Kim Jong il-style tributes” she witnessed.
