STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are convinced they have worked out who one of the new pro dancers could be for the upcoming series.
Last week the BBC show confirmed that two new faces will be added to the line-up – and viewers think another Australian could be coming on board.
Dancer Alex Vladimirov is a clear favourite with show lovers, who have clocked that she has recently moved to London.
The 26-year-old is also no stranger to dancing competitions, having competed on Dancing With The Stars Australia for five years and then joining the Irish version this year.
She wowed everyone in her debut series and ended up coming in second place with Taekwondo athlete, Jack Woolley.
Speculating about her potential move to Strictly, one person commented: “Alex Vladimirov has been impressing me for years on DWTS Australia and also this year on DWTS Ireland.
“She recently moved to London, so I would love to see her on Strictly – however I’m not too sure that they’d cast another Aussie redhead when we already have Dianne.”
Someone else wrote: “Alex will probably get the Strictly gig at some point- whenever Dianne chooses to move on probably. But I do think both newbie pros this year will be male to even it out so there’s 10 of each gender.”
The Sun previously told how Strictly has been in talks with former Dancing With The Stars winner – Pasquale La Rocca.
A TV insider revealed: “Pasquale is well known and very popular in the industry so would be a perfect fit.
“He’s had meetings with bosses and is being lined up as the next Giovanni Pernice.
“A final decision is yet to be made but it won’t be long following the news of the return cast – and Pasquale ticks all the right boxes.”
There are currently ten female dancers and eight male ones on the roster, which would suggest that two more men will be joining.
Dancers including last year’s winner Dianne Buswell, who won the series with blind comedian Chris McCausland, Katya Jones and Aljaz Skorjanec will be back when the show returns in the autumn.
Also returning to the professional dancing cast for 2025 will be Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.
Amy Dowden has also been confirmed as returning after being forced to pull out midway through last year’s competition.
