MILEY CYRUS is making a return to acting in a feature-length film to accompany her new album.
The US superstar has revealed she will release the movie in June and it will feature an extra special guest — supermodel Naomi Campbell.
I’ve learned she has spent millions on the film and has been working for months on the project, which has been shrouded in secrecy.
In the trailer for the film, released on social media last night, it is described as “a one-of-a-kind pop opera from the mind of Miley Cyrus.”
It goes on to call it “a unique visual experience fuelled by fantasy, including 13 songs from the upcoming album.”
Scenes show Naomi strutting towards the camera and Miley writhing on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It is set to hit screens soon after the release on May 30 of her accompanying ninth album Something Beautiful, which was unveiled on Monday.
A music insider said: “This is Miley’s most ambitious project ever and it has cost an absolute fortune to make.
“Her label Columbia see her as one of the biggest superstars of our time and after the success of Flowers in 2023, they have given her everything she wanted to make this film a real spectacle.
“They managed to keep shooting on the project under wraps but it has been a really long time in the making.
“She feels revitalised as an artist and will be giving her first taste of the album sooner than fans are expecting.”
It has been directed by Miley herself alongside model Jacob Bixenman, who used to date singer Troye Sivan and who previously worked with Miley on her videos for Flowers, River, Jaded and Used To Be Young.
In the final shots of the trailer, she says: “If I break away any bodies between us, would you promise that I’m enough, if I give you all of my love?”
She has spent more than 18 months working on the album and teamed up with her musician boyfriend Maxx Morando.
Miley broke into showbiz in the Disney show Hannah Montana 19 years ago but I reckon this production will be a lot more impressive.
Tov of the bill
WHEN it comes to packing a punch, The Molotovs are a fiery knockout.
Having just dropped their debut single More More More, siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge performed an electric nine-song set at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday night.
They were booked as a warm-up to the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter, who are fans of the London punk newcomers.
The show came off the back of the Molotovs’ set at SXSW, and tonight they kick off a 14-date nationwide tour in Birmingham.
In an exclusive chat, Issey tells me: “We were playing in bands before but separately. But lockdown stopped all of that.
“It meant Mat was the only person I could play with and it went from there. We started busking then moved into venues.
“ We’ve now played 500 shows over the past four years.” The pair also supported Panic! at the Disco on a recent European tour.
Like a baby-faced Paul Weller, Mat was born to be a frontman and his insane stage presence and incredible ability on the guitar were a treat to behold, given he’s just 16.
Issey, who reminds me of Courtney Love in her heyday, is just two years older.
Of some of their big-name fans, Mat says: “I think a lot of the people support us because they appreciate how we were working.
“We were playing four shows a week. It’s an old-fashioned route, I guess, and they remember being on the circuit and playing loads of shows”
Pinch-me moment
Mat also told how Sex Pistols drummer Pau Cook got up on stage to perform with them last year in a “pinch me” moment.
He explained: “I spotted him in the crowd and said, ‘You alright Paul? Are you coming on for a song then?’
“He said no but I thought it was worth asking.
“Then we were playing and people were going mental for it.
“He was on the side of the stage and I got a tap on the shoulder and this person said, ‘Paul wants to come on for a tune.’
“We kicked our drummer off and Paul came on and we did God Save The Queen.
“It was a proper pinch-me moment.”
The music video for More More More dropped last night and the song is a belter.
My favourite track, Wasted On Youth, should be their next release. It’s an absolute tune.
Ed Aziz new hit lined up
ED SHEERAN will make his return to music on April 4 with comeback single Azizam.
He said it was inspired by his producer Ilya Salmanzadeh, who has worked on huge tunes over the years including Ariana Grande’s Problem, Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, and Unholy for Sam Smith.
Ed, right, said: “I wrote Azizam after Ilya suggested trying out making music inspired by his Persian heritage and culture.
“I love learning about music and different cultures, the more I travel and connect with people. It was like opening a door to a new and exciting world.
“I loved how a lot of rhythms, scales, melodies and instruments were different but similar to the Irish trad music I had grown up with. It was showing to me that music connects us all.”
DJ Chris in KO to cancer
AS one of the best blokes on radio, Chris Stark got a hero’s welcome when he returned to Capital Breakfast yesterday after treatment for testicular cancer.
Speaking to his co-hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby, Chris, who has had surgery and chemo to remove the cancer, said: “I think it’s quite a hard thing to talk about, given the area that it’s in, but testicular cancer is so treatable and it’s really common in men aged 18 to 49. This blew my mind when I found out about it.
“If it means that’s me being honest about what I’ve gone through and sharing that experience, I’m happy to do it.
“I just want to encourage people to check themselves, and if that leads to some good from this, then I’m really happy to put my one ball on the line.”
We salute you, Chris. We’re pleased you’re on the mend.
Conor? Girls to say Sweet FA
MEATHEAD Conor McGregor made a right old racket after signing rising girl band Sweet Love to his music label Greenback Records.
Calling them the “biggest girl band since the Spice Girls,” McGregor said he was proud to be behind the four-piece.
But it appears they don’t feel the same sense of pride when it comes to the shamed Irish MMA fighter.
The band’s publicist is inviting reporters to a showcase with the group to celebrate their debut single Bad Guy – which is fitting when you think about their tanked-up turd of a label boss.
But when asked if they’d be speaking about their backer, Bizarre was told: “They won’t be talking about Conor.”
Last year McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault by a 12-person jury in a civil case after he was accused of raping a woman at a Dublin hotel in 2018, so I’m not surprised the girls don’t want to waste their breath on him.
Prosecutors in Ireland decided not to criminally charge McGregor due to “insufficient evidence”.
It’s just a shame the girls were happy to take his money.
LIZZO has landed an acting role as the late rock ’n’ roll star Sister Rosetta Tharpe for a new film.
The Amazon movie, called Rosetta, is said to be inspired by the events surrounding her life in the lead-up to her first stadium show.
She inspired stars including Elvis with her gospel songs in the 1930s and 1940s and was known as the godmother of rock ’n’ roll.
