Weather update; Gusty winds likely in Islamabad, Pakistan
Gusty winds and partly cloudy weather are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several parts of Pakistan on Sunday evening, night, and Monday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD stated that continental air is prevailing over most of the country, while a westerly wave is affecting northern areas. As a result, the twin cities and other regions may experience gusty winds and cloudy skies.
Light rain and strong winds are also expected at isolated spots in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby areas during this period.
Temperatures in Islamabad are forecasted to range between 8°C and 10°C on Monday and Tuesday, while Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely be between 10°C and 12°C.
Over the past 24 hours, rain and gusty winds have been recorded in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, parts of Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Leh remained the coldest place in Pakistan, where the temperature dropped 05°C below the freezing point. The minimum temperature in Astore and Malam Jabba was recorded at -01°C, and in Gupis at 0°C.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 84 percent.
In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 66 percent.
