Eid ul-Fitr is being celebrated in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and among the Bohra community in Karachi, as worshippers gathered for prayers and festivities on Sunday.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eid prayers were offered in Bara, Bajaur, and the Afghan refugee camp on Charsadda Road. Worshippers also gathered in Khyber, Mohmand, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, and the southern districts to mark the occasion with religious fervour.
Afghan refugees and residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s merged tribal districts took part in prayers at various locations, including Tajabad, Nasir Bagh, Board, Safed Dheri, and Khurasan Camp. Special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim world.
In Bajaur, Eid prayers were held in mosques across the district with a large turnout of worshippers. Security was tightened at mosques and Eidgahs to ensure public safety.
In Nowshera’s Jalozai Camp and surrounding areas, Afghan refugees observed Eid with traditional festivities. Community members gathered at designated prayer sites to offer Eid congregations.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, the Bohra community is celebrating Eidul Fitr today. A large gathering attended Eid prayers at the Bohra Jamaat Khana in Saddar, where special prayers were made for national peace and stability.
Security was heightened around the Jamaat Khana, with roads leading to the area blocked by barriers. Police and Rangers personnel were deployed to ensure safety.
