Widespread rain predicted across Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a detailed weather forecast, predicting widespread rainfall across many regions of the country, especially in the north, in the coming days.
Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to have partly cloudy skies, with chances of rain and even hailstorms in some places. People in the capital can expect mixed weather throughout the week.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in districts like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, and Bajaur, as well as in Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, and Kohat.
Rainfall is also predicted in Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Kohat, Bannu, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan, with varying intensity across these areas.
Punjab will receive significant rainfall too, especially in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Talagang, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Faisalabad. This rain is expected to benefit agricultural zones.
In contrast, most of Sindh will remain hot and dry, except for Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Kashmore, which may receive some rain.
Balochistan will also largely remain hot and dry, though some rain is possible in Lasbela, Washuk, and Khuzdar.
Weather experts are advising people in the rainy areas to be cautious, particularly in flood-prone or poorly drained urban locations.
