Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Saliba gives new contract update, Gunners ‘chasing Samu Aghehowa’, Isak ‘price tag REVEALED’

Triple threat

Arsenal want to sign Bruno Guimaraes as part of a stunning TRIPLE summer transfer spree under incoming new chief Andrea Berta.

It’s reckoned Guimaraes is happy to stay put on Tyneside after penning a contract extension until 2028 just 18 months ago.

However, he is also said to have an agreement with Newcastle to leave this summer for just £60m if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Isak eyed

Alexander Isak is reportedly a “concrete target” for Arsenal over the summer.

The Swede has been in red-hot form for Newcastle this season, netting 19 goals in the Prem.

Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claims the Gunners will come in for Isak in the off-season.

But transfer expert David Ornstein believes it will be tough to prize Isak away from Toon, who have “no intention of selling”.

Nwaneri fear

Martin Keown will have been pleased to see Ethan Nwaneri on the bench tonight for Arsenal.

The Gunners legend is concerned the 17-year-old could be suffering from burnout during his breakout season.

And Keown is desperate for Thomas Tuchel to not give in to hype and leave Nwaneri out of the England squad.

Keown said: “There’s a chance Nwaneri may make the international team. That’s a concern, that’s a worry.

“You take it if it comes but if it doesn’t, then he gets a nice bit of time with the manager, resting up between games so there’s a balance.

“There’s still some growing to do, and recently he has looked tired, like he was blowing, and this is normal for a 17-year-old kid.”

Real trouble

Arsenal will face REAL MADRID in the Champions League quarter-finals after a dramatic last-16 clash in Madrid.

Los Blancos triumphed on penalties against cross-town rivals Atletico, with Antonio Rudiger netting the winning spotkick.

Arsenal reach CL quarter-finals

It was almost a formality after that crazy 7-1 win in Eindhoven, but Arsenal are through to the last eight.

They drew 2-2 on the night with PSV after Mikel Arteta made a host of changes to his starting lineup.

Arsenal will now take on either Real Madrid or Atletico – that game is currently in extra time in the Spanish capital.

Saka injury update

The Gunners have endured a miserable time with injuries.

But Bukayo Saka is reportedly closing in on his long-awaited return to action.

The England forward has been out since December with a hamstring issue.

The Athletic claims Saka is expected to be in full training within the next month and could return after the international break.
