Haris Rauf climbs ICC T20I rankings, Babar maintains rank despite New Zealand snub

New Zealand’s dominant T20I series against Pakistan has propelled several of their players up the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, with Jacob Duffy making the biggest impact.

Duffy continued his meteoric rise in the bowling charts, climbing seven more spots to break into the top five. Now ranked fifth with 694 rating points, the pacer had already surged 23 places in the previous update.

His consistent performances—picking up 11 wickets in four matches—have cemented his place among the format’s best.

For Pakistan, Haris Rauf jumped 11 spots to 15th (632 rating points) after impressive figures of 3/27 and 3/29 in the last two matches.

Fellow pacer Abbas Afridi also gained eight places, now sitting at 36th.

On the batting front, Australia’s Travis Head remains the No.1 ranked T20I batter, ahead of India’s Abhishek Sharma and England’s Phil Salt.

However, the biggest mover was New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, who climbed 10 places to 41st (547 rating points) after a stunning 94 off 44 balls, coupled with a quick 24-run knock.

Interestingly, both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan maintained their rankings despite being snubbed for the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand.

In the all-rounder rankings, Michael Bracewell surged 12 spots to 14th (141 rating points) following back-to-back impactful innings of 46* off 26 and 31 off 18.

Meanwhile, Namibia’s dominant 3-0 series win over Canada in Windhoek also reflected in the rankings.

Gerhard Erasmus held his place in the all-rounder top 10 (164 rating points), while Niko Davin soared 27 places to 68th (450 rating points) after an unbeaten half-century in the final match.

With more T20I action ahead, further shakeups in the rankings are expected as players continue to impress on the global stage.
