The exact date Aldi’s sell out garden day bed returns to stores – and it’s £429 cheaper than John Lewis’ version

IT was a total sell out last year.

So it comes as no surprise that Aldi are dropping a 2025 version of their viral wooden day bed.

Shoppers are gearing up to race to their local Aldi as the store prepares to launch the 2025 version of their viral wooden day bed.

But you’ll have to be quick to nab one, given their popularity last year and the recent increase in temperature outside.

The Aldi Specialbuys TikTok page shared a video of a man setting up the day bed, which he promised could be done alone.

In the clip, he easily and swiftly put together the wooden base of the day bed, before adding the cream cushions on top.

Over the top of the video, Aldi warned shoppers that there’s “limited stock” of the garden beds.

As for when the day bed will hit stores, it’s happening on 1st May, as part of the wooden furniture Specialbuys launch.

“The VERY popular Wooden Garden Day Bed return on Thursday 1st May!” the video was captioned.

“Here is how it looks when all built up!

“It’s comfortable and easy to extend/move around!”

And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people insisting they’re desperate to grab one of the day beds.

“I’m absolutely gutted these were delayed until August last year and now they are out as early as next Thursday!!!” one sighed.

“That looks lovely,” another added.

“How much is that? I’d love one,” a third asked.

To which the poster replied that it’s £199.99.

As someone else admitted: “I bought two last year!”

According to the Aldi website, the “multi-functional day bed” can add a “serene place of outdoor comfort” in your garden.

Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts

IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.

Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.

It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.

Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.

It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.

Thanks to the design of the product, you can also switch between a “three-seater sofa, left or right-hand corner sofa, full day bed or twin loungers with central table”.

“Are they waterproof cushions or store away?” someone asked in the comments.

With the reply: “I’d say resistant! Best to get a cover.”

But others were more concerned about other furniture potentially available in store, as one asked: “Do you know if they’ll do egg chairs this year please?”

“Couldn’t say for certain but they were very popular so if I had to guess I’d say yes!” the TikTok poster replied.
