According to weather models, the most significant rainfall over the next seven days will be concentrated in northern Queensland early in the week. Another low-pressure system is expected to form off the northwest coast of WA around Friday.
Currently, this system has only a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next seven days.
However, early indications suggest it could bring impacts to northern WA towards the end of the week, though forecasters say it is too early to predict its exact path and strength.
